What is Golden Hour?
Golden Hour is a two-day drive-in music festival happening on August 21st & 22nd, 2021. It will take place at The Mustang Drive-In Theatre located in the heart of Prince Edward County in Bloomfield, Ontario. Golden Hour aims to be a beacon of light in a time of darkness by bringing entertainment back to the community.
Why is it called Golden Hour?
Everyone knows our favourite time in The County is when the sun is setting in those beautiful cotton candy coloured skies. What better time to hold a concert!
Are photos allowed?
Yes! We encourage you to take as many photos as you would like. Don't forget to tag us @goldenhourfest when sharing on social media.
What Radio Channel will the concert be on?
Think movies at the drive-in! You will be able to tune into the concert through radio FM 89.5 in your vehicle.
Where is the Mustang Theatre?
There are quite a few Mustang Theatre locations, but ours is located in Prince Edward County. The official address is 1521 Prince Edward County Rd 1, Bloomfield, ON K0K 1G0.
How many people can attend?
The Mustang Drive-In accommodates approximately 150 cars per day and vehicles are capped at 5 people maximum per car (or legally allowable based on vehicle type). This ensures that we are able to provide a safe and socially distanced site.
What if it rains?
Rain or shine, the show must go on! In the case of extreme inclement weather, head to our social media channels for updates with weather advisories and emergency instructions will be provided via FM radio 89.5.

Where can I sign up for news about Golden Hour?
Am I allowed to leave and come back during the show?
There are no in and out privileges. If you leave the festival, you will be exiting for the day and not returning.
What if my car battery dies during the show?
If your battery dies please visit the Mustang concession booth where Drive-In staff will be able to assist you.
How can I volunteer at the festival?
Volunteers are the heart of the festival - stay tuned for our volunteer application!
If we don’t have a car, can we uber/taxi/lift/motorcycle or bike?
Unfortunately not. Patrons must arrive in the vehicle that will stay for the duration of the show. Patrons who arrive by foot, bike/motorbike, Uber/Lyft, etc. will not be permitted entry.
Are you kid/fur “kid” friendly?
Of course! Children and pets are welcome. If your furry friend needs to use the washroom, please ensure your pet is on a leash at ALL TIMES, pick up after your pets, use trash bins and respect your fellow attendees.
Can I bring food & alcohol?
NO outside food, drinks or alcohol is permitted on site. Due to AGCO regulations around drinking and driving, Golden Hour is a dry festival and no alcoholic drinks will be served. All vehicles are subject to a flashlight trunk search upon entry to the event and you may be asked to pop your trunk to ensure no alcohol is being brought in to the festival. Your safety is our number one concern.
Are there washrooms onsite?
Yes! There is a washroom building onsite. Washrooms are sanitized every thirty minutes as per COVID-19 protocols.Patrons are required to wear a mask when using washrooms onsite.
Is there an ATM on-site?
The festival is a cashless event. There will be no ATMs available on site.
Is there food and beverage at the Drive-in?
Yes! Concessions are available onsite and details of what is available can be found here. Please visit our website and social media channels for updates regarding our additional food vendors.
Am I allowed to leave my car?
As per the current COVID-19 protocols, patrons must stay within their vehicle at all times. Patrons are permitted to use the washrooms & buy food/merch from vendors on site however you must immediately return to your vehicle after. Wearing a mask is required at all times while outside of your vehicle.
Keep a safe distance
Patrons must maintain 6 feet from other patrons. Please remember to wash your hands and utilize hand sanitizer around the festival (available at the snack bar if you want to buy a personal one, or bring your own!).
Do I have to wear a mask?
As per the current COVID-19 guidelines, patrons must wear a mask at all times outside of their vehicle, this includes inside the washrooms.
What if I don’t have a mask?
A limited amount of face masks will be available at the Merchandise Booth for purchase at $10.
Golden Hour COVID-19 Mandate
Golden Hour is committed to providing a fun, but safe experience for all its patrons. The provincial guidelines for COVID-19 are continuously changing and we will do our best to provide the most up-to-date information for any updates or changes to the regulations. We ask that attendees respect and follow these regulations for an enjoyable experience for all.
Will there be alcoholic drinks available at the festival?
Due to AGCO regulations around drinking and driving, no alcoholic drinks will be served. Your safety is our number one concern.
Is smoking allowed onsite?
Smoking cigarettes or cigars is permitted in your private vehicle, but smoking marijuana is strictly prohibited as it falls under AGCO regulations. Please be considerate of those around you and do not throw cigarette butts on the ground. If you are caught littering, you will be subject to ejection at the discretion of the festival.
