What is Golden Hour?


Golden Hour is a two-day drive-in music festival happening on August 21st & 22nd, 2021. It will take place at The Mustang Drive-In Theatre located in the heart of Prince Edward County in Bloomfield, Ontario. Golden Hour aims to be a beacon of light in a time of darkness by bringing entertainment back to the community.




Why is it called Golden Hour?


Everyone knows our favourite time in The County is when the sun is setting in those beautiful cotton candy coloured skies. What better time to hold a concert!




Are photos allowed?


Yes! We encourage you to take as many photos as you would like. Don't forget to tag us @goldenhourfest when sharing on social media.




What Radio Channel will the concert be on?


Think movies at the drive-in! You will be able to tune into the concert through radio FM 89.5 in your vehicle.




Where is the Mustang Theatre?


There are quite a few Mustang Theatre locations, but ours is located in Prince Edward County. The official address is 1521 Prince Edward County Rd 1, Bloomfield, ON K0K 1G0.




How many people can attend?


The Mustang Drive-In accommodates approximately 150 cars per day and vehicles are capped at 5 people maximum per car or as many as there are legal seatbelts.




What if it rains?


Rain or shine, the show must go on! In the case of extreme inclement weather, head to our social media channels for updates with weather advisories and emergency instructions will be provided via FM radio 89.5.

Am I allowed to leave and come back during the show?


There are no in and out privileges. If you leave the festival, you will be exiting for the day and not returning.




Will tickets be available for purchase at the venue?


Unless the event is sold out in advance, there will be tickets available for purchase at the venue. Check out our Eventbrite for more info!




How can I volunteer at the festival?


Volunteers are the heart of the festival - stay tuned for our volunteer application!




Who is your charitable Partner?


Golden Hour is proud to be partnering with the County Food Hub. The County Food Hub has developed a “Ready-to-heat” program for those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program provides full meals to those in need twice a week.




What time should I arrive?


Guest arrival time is scheduled in advance and determined by the ZONE your ticket is for. Golden Hour Festival will update ticket holders with their assigned arrival time closer to the event. The earliest arrival time is scheduled 90min before the show starts.




Is this a cashless event?


The festival is a cashless event. There will be no ATMs available on site.




Can we reserve spots next to friends?


Spots are on a first come, first served basis. We recommend you purchase tickets in the same zone and arrive together for the best chance to be parked near each other.




I have a small vehicle, how can I ensure I’m not obstructed by a larger vehicle?


We will do our best to ensure larger vehicles do not obstruct smaller vehicle sightlines.





TICKETING

How much are tickets?


Ticket prices are based on a per car fee with a maximum of 5 persons per vehicle (or as many as there are legal seatbelts). All ticket prices include fees and taxes. VVIP: $400 VIP Purple: $325 GA Pink: $265 GA Orange: $225 GA Yellow: $195** **Zone 4 has the option of watching the Main Screen or Screen 2, which is to the immediate right of Zone 4. Both screens will broadcast a live feed of the stage.

What if I’m a single occupant, can I get a cheaper ticket?


Ticket prices are by vehicle and not the number of patrons in a vehicle. We encourage you to bring members of your social circle.




How do I know where to go when I get there?


Golden Hour staff will greet you upon arrival and direct you to your assigned Zone. Parking spots are on a first come, first serve basis. If you are a large or XL vehicle, you will be directed to the back row or side spots in your Zone.




What does a VIP ticket include?


Our VIP Ticket includes access to the ‘best seats in the house’ in our VIP Purple Zone, an invite for the ticket holder and a guest to our VIP Sunset Party on August 20th and a bag of treats from our partners. Are there restrictions on the size of vehicles permitted?


VIP does not permit large or XL vehicles such as minivans, trucks or SUVs. Large and XL are directed to purchase a GA Orange or Yellow ticket. If you purchase a ticket not in GA Orange or Yellow ticket, you will be parked at the end of the row so as to not obstruct the view of other cars. RVs, RideShare, Motorcycles and limousines are NOT permitted.

Patrons are permitted to use the washrooms & buy food/merch from vendors on site however you must immediately return to your vehicle after. Wearing a mask is required at all times while outside of your vehicle.




Keep a safe distance


Patrons must maintain 6 feet from other patrons. Please remember to wash your hands and utilize hand sanitizer around the festival (available at the snack bar if you want to buy a personal one, or bring your own!). Golden Hour is committed to providing a fun, but safe event for all its patrons. The COVID-19 pandemic is continuously changing, as are provincial guidelines. We will provide up to date information on our website.




Will there be alcoholic drinks available at the festival?


Due to AGCO regulations around drinking and driving, no alcoholic drinks will be served. Your safety is our number one concern.




Is smoking allowed onsite?


Smoking cigarettes or cigars is permitted in your private vehicle, but smoking marijuana is strictly prohibited as it falls under AGCO regulations. Please be considerate of those around you and do not throw cigarette butts on the ground. If you are caught littering, you will be subject to ejection at the discretion of the festival.




What if my car battery dies during the show?


If your battery dies please visit the Mustang concession booth where Drive-In staff will be able to assist you.
